Another postcard for the Treasure Art Trends yahoo group swap!
Valentines are so fun to make. You can get all sticky sweet and lovey dovey! And eat lots of chocolate. You know a holiday that revolves around chocolate has to be an all time favorite with me!
I used the Basic Grey Bittersweet paper and ephemera kit.
Bittersweet, Bittersweet chocolate, Bittersweet Chocolate chips, see what I mean, it all revolves around chocolate. And as Martha Stewart would say, "that's a good thing"
This weekend Cathy was here from TX and we had a weekend of CRAFTING fun!
Basic Grey's new line, Bittersweet, is as yummy as a box of Valentine's Day Chocolates.
So we whipped up our own Valentine's day special kit with it, we even included Velvet Ric-Rac, oh la la!
The Bittersweet paper and embellishment kit has a retail value of over $40.00! But, our sweet price is only $22.00 plus shipping. How delicious is that! Create your own sweet treasure with this delightful kit!

Book of Spells

It has been much, much too long since I have worked in an Altered Book. I forgot how much I enjoy it. I love the instant textural look of the words on the paper. There's no blank white page staring at you hump to get over when you start with a book page. I also don't have to make any decisions about size. The best part is, if you don't like what you did, just rip the page out!
Ripping the page out is actually how the background of this piece came to be. I splashed some Antique White paint on the page, then a brownish color. Oops, not only did I use too much paint, it turned a yukky muddy color. So I ripped the page out and smacked it onto the next page just to get rid of some paint before I tossed the page away. Serendipity! The second page turned out just right.
It's somewhat ironic, however, that you can only see about an inch around the sides of the page I spent such worry on painting! So you'll just have to believe me that the page is just right! LOL
Cosmo Cricket's Haunted line. It's definitely a Treat, I love it!
There is also coordinating ribbon (velvet even!); Clear Stamps; Cardstock Stickers; and this wonderful kit. The kit has 12 sheets of double sided cardstock; Journal sheets; Stickers; a striptease sheet and a project idea sheet!
The Clear Stamps come on a 3.75" x 6" sheet. The stamps are going to be great for Artist Trading Cards as well as for creating embellishments on your other paper craft projects.
Love the ribbon, especially the scalloped velvet! Did I already mention that?
Here's a little project I made for the Treasure Art Trends yahoo group. We had a Fence Swap. I made my fence out of coffee stir sticks, painted the fence with crackle paint and decorated it with stickers from the Haunted Paper Craft Kit. I used the Haunted rub ons for the Scary sign.
Another Fence I made with the Haunted stickers.
